Enterococcus bacteria

A microorganism genus found in the feces of humans and animals. These occur in conjunction with pathogens, and therefore their presence is used as an indicator of fecal contamination and possibly the presence of pathogenic microorganisms.

Escherichia coli

Bacterial species belonging to the coliform group. Their presence indicates recent contamination by human or animal feces and the potential presence of pathogenic microorganisms.
